You could do this exact thread and substitute "virtue signaling"
Republicans don't do anything good so they spend their time degrading virtuous acts and professed beliefs as mere signals.
Is it better to give to charity and wear a shirt that says you did, or don't give to charity and mock someone who does?
Is is better to wear a mask to save others and be guilty of virtue signaling or not do that, infect others, and make those who do
feel like they are breaking a cultural moray and chill safe habits and complying with scientific best health practices?

But it is remarkable how much frantic google research you felt compelled to undertake to prove that somewhere, somehow, some lefty in the U.S. was using the word Woke.
In a nation of 300 million people there are obviously an infinitesimally small fraction of people who use it. And journalists are paid to make their writing interesting - and some of them might be prone to coopting words they perceive to be hip or unique.
But the fact is, despite deplorable poutrage about the so called Woke culture, no liberals on this board are using that word, and neither are any serious left-center nationally prominent politicians.
The only ones who are using the word Woke on this forum - and giggling about it - are deplorables. To me, that makes the word an obsession with conservativess
