WOKE POPE thinking of retirement

Pope Francis is a wonderful, humble man who does much to emulate his Messiah. No wonder the bigots and haters call him "woke" and despise him. Just as the Sadducees and the Pharisees felt about Jesus's condemnation of their ungodly ways, so too do the haters feel about being called out for their hate by Pope Francis.

He has been a fine pope...and a reasonable, decent person. Can't ask more of anyone than that.

It's a pope who actually cares more about humans than money and fame and power. It's a pope who recognizes and apologizes for the evil that his Church has done in the past. It is a pope who recognizes the worth of all humans, not just those of his religion.

Reichwingers can't abide by that stuff.

Isn't amazing how the MAGA trolls us vocabulary that they don't understand.

It gets repeated ad nauseum on Fox and is always associated with EVIL and DEMOCRATS so that's why they use the word.

Interesting how "woke" is bad and Democrats are all atheists, but then the MAGATs also attack good men of God like Rev. Warnock and Pope Francis. I guess they only like conservative white Xtian fundies. No Christian (D)s need apply.

Has he made any headway with Rome corruption? Has he put in systems so that we can have confidence that the clergy is done sexually abusing kids? Both are required if he is to be called a fine Pope.

Yes, and you misunderstand the Pope’s actual capabilities, he has authority, but little actual power, he is not a governmental executive as a President or Prime Minister

I am the one who pointed out that the previous Pope was steamrolled, gave up, and retired.

Not that it has anything to do with the thread, but he himself decided to retire, it was his own awareness of his maladies that led to the decision, nothing to do with Pope Francis

And the Jesusy pp didn’t seem to know that

He has been a fine pope, Hawkeye...whether he has cleaned up those problems or not.
