Looking back at his strenuous trip to North America – which he described as "intense," reported the BBC – Francis provided some context to his thoughts. "I don't think I can keep traveling with the same rhythm I used to at my age and with the limitation of this knee," said Francis in references to an injury that has seen him using a wheelchair in public for the first time.

"I either need to save myself a little in order to continue serving the Church, or I need to consider the possibility of stepping aside," added the pontiff.

Apparently forgiving Saudis for 9/11 by holding a golf event at a Trump club less than 50 miles from ground zero is as that Papal contingent forgiving by holding an indigenous Canadians people genocide over decades....
 
Pope Francis is a wonderful, humble man who does much to emulate his Messiah. No wonder the bigots and haters call him "woke" and despise him. Just as the Sadducees and the Pharisees felt about Jesus's condemnation of their ungodly ways, so too do the haters feel about being called out for their hate by Pope Francis.

Frankly, I'm surprised he lasted this long. I've always expected to hear of his sudden and untimely death.

It's a pope who actually cares more about humans than money and fame and power. It's a pope who recognizes and apologizes for the evil that his Church has done in the past. It is a pope who recognizes the worth of all humans, not just those of his religion.

Reichwingers can't abide by that stuff.
