Wisconsin membership in the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees-the state's second-largest public-sector union after the National Education Association, which represents teachers-fell to 28,745 in February from 62,818 in March 2011, according to a person who has viewed Afscme's figures. A spokesman for Afscme declined to comment.

Public unions are one reason I could never consider myself a liberal. I'm pretty liberal at the State level, except I hate public unions. Take any State where they're having budget issues, and public unions are to blame.

i blame the politicians for allowing the unions to negotiate unrealistic contracts that kicked the pension can down the raod
 
There was no taxpayer victory last night unless your uber wealthy or a corporation...Walker gave huge tax cuts to them and payed for it with jobs, education etc. Hardly what I'd call a winning solution to our problems. The notion that he has created a surplus is a lie, a Walker lie, there is no surplus it's smoke and mirrors.

While you're wearing your sack cloth and ashes, learn how to deal with it. :D
