Will you smoke pot/smoke more pot if it becomes legal in your state?

I guess I should not limit it to smoking.. I was reading the Colorado law, you can have marijuana infused products like brownies also.

But the simple question is...

Would a change in the law make you more likely to use the product?

I dont smoke pot. I have a handfull of times, in College and after... I enjoyed it. I guess the reason I dont ever smoke it is an availability issue, I dont know where I would get any, and because it is "illegal" here in Florida I would have to study how to get it without getting arrested. An arrest would harm my career. Then there is the issue of having my kids seeing me break the law, which I am not sure I am comfortable with, so I would have to hide it. That leads to the issue of being a hipocrate with my kids, which is something I try to avoid.

So I guess the answer to my own question is that if it were available in stores, I would likely use it recreationally but rarely.

I would likely smoke a little more.

I could drive to the dog park with the hounds burn one and enjoy.

Some people at the dog park already smoke on the back tables.

No. It would hardly impact me at all. I don't even worry about getting caught with it on me when I go pick it up. It would make it more convenient for me, but my usage would be the same.

I would love to go to a family reunion and load a bowl and offer it to any who have never tried it becuase of the laws.

It would make for alot of fun.

I am not motivated enough to search it out, I just wonder how these underground transaction get started. Ive never been approached (except once when I was like 14 on the beach by a gay guy) and I would have no idea how to go about it if I needed pot.

It's really easy...you just ask a friend who smokes where they get it. There are few things easier than obtaining pot.

Come on down. As of yesterday it was legal in CO. Unless the FBI is there to stop you, you're good.

I flew to denver a few years back. Drove through colorado springs and up the mountain to a little mountain town.

Nice place but this flat lander was huffing and puffing after all that altitude.

I am just better off at ocean level.

I dont have any friends who smoke, that I know of.

So, you just call someone and meet them? I have a few clients who I have had arrested for possession, but I would not mix work with illegal activity.

I remember when I was a kid, people would just hang out at the 7-11 and you knew if someone was just hangin out at the 7-11 he would sell you pot. I would not even know how much it costs.

Unless the dealer is really stupid, you have to be introduced first by someone they already do business with and trust. If the dealer is stupid, they won't be around long to sell it to you because they are going to get popped.

It's more expensive than it used to be when i was in school, but it's also better weed.

Thats what I am trying to understand, how did the first person get introduced? And do they really just meet on the street or has it turned into more of a come to my house deal. Its a world Ive never known the inside of. How much should you pay for an ounce?

Interestingly, when I was a Prosecutor, Palm Beach County did not prosecute simple sale of Marijuana. We prosecuted grow houses and people driving around with bricks, but I never saw a case across my desk where someone sold another person a few ounces.

I did prosecute a few people who were pulled over and were indicently found to have a joint or a small baggie... We ALWAYS dropped those charges because a conviction comes with a 2 year drivers liscence suspension and none of us felt that was justice. Anyway we would simply end up prosecuting them a couple months later for driving on a suspended drivers liscnce and we hated prosecuting those because they were booring.
