CNN got all wee-weed up with the "exclusive": "Secret Service can't pay agents for Trump and his family, report says." Lots of other mainstream media outlets followed the salacious story — Trump and his family are bankrupting America!
But it turns out the whole story was plain old fake news.
Alles, in clarification to USA Today's breathless report, later said funding for roughly 1,100 agents working overtime in 2017 is not an issue "that can be attributed to the current Administration’s protection requirements alone, but rather has been an ongoing issue for nearly a decade due to an overall increase in operational tempo."
But it turns out the whole story was plain old fake news.

And it doesn't matter that when Obama and his wife took separate planes to Hawaii — one day apart—- costing taxpayers an extra million dollars that liberals and the MSM defended them. Because (and here's the real point here) EVERYTHING TRUMP DOES IS WRONG.

Sure....who/what they protect has been increased over the years. None of which detracts from the fact that trump's lifetime of whoring has created a much larger protection detail than any in history. And the 'Lil trumps' overseas travel wastes thousands and thousands of detail dollars.

Hmm....taxpayer foots the bill for $400,000. trump cuts a billion from Nat. Park Service, and gives them $175,000 as a political stunt.
At the end of the year, he writes off $400k, and the taxpayer pays twice. Prob. best if he just refused the salary to begin with. And stopped golfing every weekend, to save SS hours.

Did you worry about BO's golfing? About his or his family's travels? All presidents enjoyed protection. Who knows, the next one might have 12 kids from a previous marriage, we don't know yet. Should we base every service rendered on disliking the current potus, or shall we be reasonable?

trump ran on a 'no golfing' platform. In the few months he's been POTUS, he's broken all records for golf outings.
Which wouldn't really be a thing, save for the fact that he lines his pockets with taxpayer money every time he hangs out at one of his numerous properties.
