It says you can't run for office if you participate in an insurrection or rebellion, of which, you need to prove that Trump did.

Simply claiming that he did isn't going to cut it.

If someone keeps him off the ballot then states like Texas and Florida will simply make the same claims about Biden and keep him off their ballots.

I guarantee you that.

Also remember that Trump wasn't even there when the riots broke out, he was nowhere in the area.

That would be ridiculous. President Biden cannot be disqualified by the 14th Amendment because he did not incite an insurrection. There is no requirement to actually be present. Tarrio is serving time. He also wasn't even there.

No. This is not about President Biden. This is about whether or not Trump is eligible to serve in any office. He has been arrested for election interference, including inciting the January 6th insurrection. That is sound basis for exclusion from the ballot. He caused the insurrection with his lies as a part of his attempts to steal the election. Trump is ineligible to serve in any office. Let him sue. He would have to prove that he is eligible, which he cannot possibly do.

All we have now are allegations.

You can't simply accuse someone then bring up the 14th amendment.

IF you try then the republicans will do the same thing.

They will simply say something like Biden actually organized the riots and that holds as much weight as the charges against Trump until proven in a court of law.

Each state have laws that show requirements to be on their ballot, it's not an optional thing.

If they try to pull the 14th amendment on Trump to keep him off the ballot it will be immediately tossed by any judge as there is no basis for it until a conviction occurs.

They will have to go to court in their state for it, but they can do it. I expect to see the 14th Amendment cases happening before the RNC JUL24.
