I doubt it....msm won't even give this kind of news 2 minutes of prime time.

The Shooter....A Left-wingnut....

He ( Jarod Loughner ) became intrigued by antigovernment conspiracy theories, including that the Sept. 11 attacks were perpetrated by the government and that the country’s central banking system was enslaving its citizens. His anger would well up at the sight of President George W. Bush, or in discussing what he considered to be the nefarious designs of government.

Its bizarre that we have pinheads on this site that express the same views about 9/11 and Wall St. Bankers.....
The same pinheads that try to pin the blame on an ex-Gov. from Alaska....

They will avoid this like the plague.

the vast majority of the left doesn't care, only conservatives have violent rhetoric and only conservatives can be the cause of this guy massacring those people, any other reality will cause them to take a long hard look at their own back yard and that is not something that the majority of the left care to do, because then they couldn't exploit this horrible tragedy and further their political agenda

(Excerpt from your link) “I think he feels the people should be able to govern themselves,” said Ms. Figueroa, his former girlfriend. “We didn’t need a higher authority.”

Sounds like it was taken right out of the left wing, Democrat playbook. Who needs government medical? Privatize SS. Throw the bums off unemployment insurance. Get the government out of our lives!

Two minutes of prime time?!! The MSM should run a full length program comparing the similarities of Loughner's beliefs with Obama's and the Democrats. I bet the Right wing folks would love to look at the station test signal for an hour.

"I think he feels the people should be able to govern themselves."

What part of that statement are you having difficulty with? If he was referring to/frustrated with a deity he would have shot up a church.

As for "higher authority" that term is used for people, not a Deity. The usual term is "higher power" when referring to a deity.

Higher authority as in Police or military or government.

Sometimes you are soooo silly, Bravo. :BKick:

Tell me... When has anyone from the Tea Party or Conservative right, EVER argued that we should have NO government? Can you cite an example, moron?

I see you are still online but haven't answered me... are you researching it?

Real easy request... or at least, it should be, if your supposition were true.

Really,....is that so ??? but I think "higher power" is a term used in mathematics and not for people...lol....

You may fancy yourself a psychiatrist, but the sad truth is,

you're only half way there.........you a fuckin' physco...

The point is "no government" is closer to "less government" than it is to "more government" but you knew that.

Oh, please. Higher authority does not necessarily mean a deity. Good God, man.
It's frequently used in business as when a branch of a business has to contact the Head Office.

I didn't realize the extent of your religious indoctrination. :(

The shooter was hardly a businessman, fool.....and as for him calling his superviser or boss by any other name than that is just about nil....
and,
I've had just about all I can reasonably take from you for now, physco.....

The point is "no government" is closer to "less government" than it is to "more government" but you knew that.

The size of a government should be determined by the requirements of the citizens.
If you want roads and bridges, railways and ports, the government is there to supply them - when they are let to private enterprise the government must be there to ensure your taxes are correctly spent!
If you do not want an infrastructure, if you do not want safe food and water, if you do not want a police force, if you do not want a fire service or ambulance service or foreign investment or a standing army or someone to print your money and handle your accounts then further reduce your government. If you do not want a justice system, gaols, schools or universities then further reduce your government.
That is not to say one should allow ones government to employ too many people - or too few. The government must be efficient and govern the country according to the wishes and requirements of all its citizens. ALL its citizens. That includes those living under bridges, those hooked on drugs, those unfortunates who for one reason or another find life difficult.
It should raise taxes on those who find coping easy, those that find themselves at the top of the pile. Instead of whining that the 'government is too big' and blindly following those who are hell bent on destruction in the foolhardy belief that they will emerge on the team of the winners - get involved. Learn how your government works. It belongs to you.
As I have often said, from a distance your present government is righting many wrongs committed during the last regime. Your people still raise a smile but we see your nation trying to lift itself into its rightful position as one of the leaders of the modern world. Why, some of your representatives have actually learned a little humility and that can't be bad.

We have town, city, township, county, state, and federal governments.....add 'em up and they must number into the hundreds of thousands.....thats seems quite enough...

There were leaders, police, firemen, teachers, judges, bridges, dams and roads even before their was a United States.....

But you are right....The size of a government should be determined by the citizens.
And as of today, a majority of the citizens demand a smaller and more efficient and less intrusive government that responds to what the citizens want.....

Not what the elected officials think we want or think we need, or what they think is good for us......
WE will tell THEM what we want and want we need and WE will decide what is good for us.....all they have to do is ask us and we will respond at the ballot box.

They are your elected representatives. It ia a very strange system you have if you do not know why you elected them. It is even stranger if they get elected on a minority vote.
It would appear, and naturally I may be wrong, that objections to the policies of a democratically elected representative must represent a minority. Unless of course you have a government as we have in the UK, who are actually on record as making certain promises, notably tertiary tuition fees, and deliberately reneging on those promises upon which they were elected.
IF you are in the majority and you wish them to adopt a certain policy then you must use the ballot box to persuade them if all else fails.
BUT that is not really the main point, as I see it.
The main point is that 'smaller government' and 'too much government' are sound bites used by those whose aim it is to unseat a democratically elected president and whose followers are too busy with their own affairs or too stupid to stop for one minute to examine the truth or otherwise of the chant.
Your point about having certain services before the creation of the United States is irrelevant.
Unfortunately, your system does not appear to lend itself to the democratic use of the ballot box. Your modern representatives consist in the main of those who can afford to buy heir seats. Not good.

Incredible how someone so dense can refer to another as "physco".

Regardless of what twisted thoughts you may possess the statement was, "I think he feels the people should be able to govern themselves...”

No one states "able to govern themselves" in reference to a deity. What kind of craziness are you talking? We are not "governed" by a deity. It is the "normal" Right who constantly flap their lips concerning being governed and by that they are referring to politicians and it is the wacko Right who resort to terrorism, killing said politicians. (The key word here is "Right".)

Don't let your obsession with the Left, that imagined hobgoblin to which the Right refers, result in making a further ass of yourself.

The question is how far will right wingers lie, fabricate misinformation and parse this guys beliefs to make many of those beliefs suddenly leftist?
