Will the left back Trump if he closes the southern border?

President Trump authorized new travel restrictions and warnings Saturday – and said he’s even looking at closing the southern border – in response to the coronavirus outbreak that has claimed the first American life, while assuring the nation at an all-hands-on-deck press conference there’s “no reason to panic.”

This should put to rest the notion that Trump is sitting on his hands through this *potential* health crisis. In fact, I can’t recall any president taking similar measures during past outbreaks.

At any rate, closing the southern border would seem to put the left/media in a bit of a quandary. On the one hand, they have contributed to the panic over the Corona Virus. But on the other, closing down the southern border is ‘racist’, immoral, anti-American or whatever.

So which way will it be if Trump does it?

Don't forget that Chucky Schumer called travel restrictions to China "racist" after Trump moved to put that in place after the outbreak. Trump hasn't called them out on it yet because he is a leader and is guiding the nation through this, but as always he is letting the left set themselves up for a fall.

He will let them caterwaul and then BOOM he will drop the MOAB that we need to close our southern border to contain the Coronavirus. Then you will see the leftists shit themselves getting all tied up in knots saying that keeping people out of the country with COVID19 isn't the right response.

Good luck selling that to the American people

Exactly, it won’t be the people, it will be business that complains first. The people will only rise up when they see stock disappear out of the stores.
 
I bet they are testing everyone around the Golden Toilet Boy. He’s a germaphobe, and I bet he’s secretly very worried about this virus.
 
Ive said before. Closing the border is actually pretty easy. Just fly a few gunships up and down the border. Problem solved.

 
Restricting travel from China and Iran is one thing, but closing the border to Mexico will seriously injure our economy and throw us into a grave recession.

If that is necessary to protect our public health, so be it, but let's wait and see a while longer.
