This was all supposed to be settled last Tuesday. This is stretching on for no good reason. It is not the number of votes, though that is embarrassing, it is the number of days.
And what McCarthy had to sacrifice to get here. He will never be a leader now. He is Speaker, but he has given up any leadership. The Republicans have admitted they will do NOTHING!!!

The Radicals proved they have the power. It'll be fun to see how the year plays out since it's a precursor to election 2024. I'm thinking it'll be a a goat-rope. LOL

They are worse than just radicals. Radicals want massive change, but these people want just destruction. While "Madison" Cawthorn is out of office, he spoke for many in the Crazy Caucus when he said, "I have built my staff around comms rather than legislation." He literally had no interest in changing how government works, he just wanted to publicize conspiracy theories. They do not want the power to do things, just the power to destroy America.
They want to destroy the "socialist state" and "restore the Constitution".
Don't ask them to spell out what that means, since none on JPP knows the answer.

The first part yes, or more accurately they believe they are doing it, but I question whether they even believe they are going to "restore" anything. They do not seem interested in proposing bills that would change anything, or doing any of the other work.
I see a future where rather than them shutting down government until we all agree to their plan, they shutdown government until we come up with a plan to get them what they want, even though they do not specifically know what they want.
They are arsonists, not architects. Yes, for an architect's plan to be built, often a previous structure on the site must be demolished, so the two might seem similar up to that point. But, an arsonist has no plan to build, only the love of destruction.
We are saying the same thing about the maga/alt right crowd, except I am saying that there plan is to have no answers, where you are saying it is more an unfortunate accident.
I just do not know what happened to the Republican Party. I did not always agree with them, but they were usually trying to lead, and be competent.

In short; they are nuts. My experience has taught me that you can’t reason with unreasonable people.
There are complex issues for us to debate, but we cannot do it here, because the maga/alt right losers just want to debate slavery and other garbage.
