Will Dems Shut Down Government by Refusing to Fund Border Wall?

44 percent of SNAP recipients are children. There are another 21 percent who are parents of those kids. The majority of SNAP recipient adults work, but approx Min Wage jobs do not cover the food bills. Want to slash SNAP, then raise the min. wage. They will be able to afford food. Then the "welfare" would drop.

Rather, will the Republicans shut down the government by insisting on funding Trump's boondoggle. Given their putting ideology ahead of the country so far, it seems likely.
 
I missed where the Dems were talking about shutting down. Trump is the only one I heard say it. Even most Repugs are running from Trump on that. But it is good to be the king.

All valid points, but it will be his ignorance that causes him to try to shut down the govt.

He had to ask his Treasury Secretary why they can't just print money to fund the wall.

He has no idea how our country runs, and no interest in changing that problem

I've read that he was a straight "D" student in high school and that his college professors uniformly found him completely uninterested in learning anything.

Social Security is self-funded. The government owes SS a trillion dollars that it 'borrowed'. If you end Social Security, you also end the income that supports it, so there would be no money to give to soldiers. And, as automation kills more and more jobs, Social Security is going to have to be expanded to cover ever more of the population
