With all due respect to Elon as an engineer and the enormous effort of the employees of Tesla, that stock is way over valued. The only way you're going to make any money with it is if other people are even more insane than you and keep buying.
The general concept of an EV, or an small, high efficiency vehicle which charges on low pollution produced electric power, is a good idea. Particularly if the vehicle is targeted at daily commutes, with only one or two seats, and limited mass/range.
The primary problem with all of the U.S. EVs is they are based on Toxic Lithium batteries, for the energy storage mechanism. And they don't need to be, there are plenty of other, less toxic, and more durable options.
In time, some American Car company is going to figure that out, and make a huge amount of money.

One of the power sources I have read about and think we should be helping get perfected in the NDB.
Nuclear Diamond battery.
They do have small ones working now but need to get them perfected more.
They use Nuclear waist and are said to last several thousand years.
They are said to be able to power a EV for several million miles without charging and when you park your EV that is using one you can plug it in and sell power back to the power companies.
It is a novel idea and if they can get it perfected that will turn the battery world on its head.

I am think this is what they call, throwing good money after bad. This current lame ass president is doing he can to screw America over but leftists still won't be able to figure out why they lost.
Rivian lost $1.1 billion and saw its revenue fall nearly $500 million in the third quarter of 2024 as a slackening of consumer demand for EVs hampered the industry’s growth. But as I said I think the US government should have been backing this research and development for some time now.
And again IF they get this perfected it will not only revolutionize the battery industry but it could completely replace Oil as a fuel source .
An they may be expensive at first like most everything else but when manufacturing gets going the price ill come down and people will be able to afford them and will be buying them.
One of the good things is the life of them several hundred year with out paying to charge your EV ever and can power a car for millions of miles without charging or having to stop .

That will become part of Trump's cabinet it will be in time.
If it proves to cut the government waste, I am all for it. Hopefully, all they do freeze govt rehiring as people leave.

As I said: I bet in about a year or two all of you folks who HATE EV'S with a passion will suddenly be OK with EV's.

I am not sure it will go up.
I didn't not know MUSK got involved with the NDB and I would like to see the government back that project more, YES I know MUSK will probably make billions on it if they get it perfected but it will be the answer to our and the worlds energy problems.
As I said I am not happy MUSK is involved in the project but if he can help get it perfected it will do a lot of good for everybody.

Like I said I am not happy MUSK is in Trumps new cabinet but he is also involved in the NDB industry.
I have mixed feeling about it, but if they can get the NDB perfected and get the price down to where it is economical for people to buy and use it will change the power / fuel industry.
