Apparently the biden administration has decided it will cut a check for $6.6 billion to help failing EV maker Rivian to help then finance a manufacturing plant in Georgia. I am think this is what they call, throwing good money after bad. This current lame ass president is doing he can to screw America over but leftists still won't be able to figure out why they lost.

Rivian lost $1.1 billion and saw its revenue fall nearly $500 million in the third quarter of 2024 as a slackening of consumer demand for EVs hampered the industry’s growth. Now, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has agreed to a conditional commitment to loan the automaker roughly $6.6 billion to help finance the construction of its manufacturing facility in Georgia, according to a press release from the DOE’s Loan Programs Office (LPO).

If Rivian had based their EVs on the British developed energy storage system of Liquid Aire, rather than Toxic Lithium Batteries, they would not need a bailout, but rather a new building for expansion.

EVs are a good idea. Done with the correct energy storage/coupling technology, they are a great idea.

2000+lbs Toxic Lithium Batteries with a usage time of 18 months will end up being the worst environmental disaster in human history, by a wide margin.

And there are a number of other viable energy storage/coupling systems...
HD Capacitors
Thermal Slugs
Flywheels
Non-Lithium Batteries, particularly Sodium
Road-Embedded Gapped Transformers
Thermal Catenaries

The problem is we all fell for the manipulations of the corrupt insider stock traders who had control of the Lithium mines.
