Why we have a Russia investigation...

were they able to examine the server?

Troll? Take apart your PC, it's not that much different from a server, let us know what you find. See anything interesting? If argument can point to the imaginary what sense is knowledge.

LOL the right has become an apology for idiocy and their questions, whose intent in their narrow mind is a kind of fake counterpoint, shows just how poor American education has become.

But righties minds are managed by dark money and the idiots on Fox so reading and learning pass them by. Of course this guy tsuke, sounds like a troll.

"Then, Congressman Matt Cartwright forced Comey to admit that the emails with the internal c's were not properly marked according to the State Department Manual, and that his previous comment that "any reasonable person" would have known the emails were classified was implausible, if not a out-and-out falsehood. To judge unheaded emails as classified was in fact a standard that was unreasonable to apply. To the contrary, it would be a "reasonable inference" that the three documents missing the header were not classified.

Holding the manual in his hand, Cartwright calmly got right to the point:

MATT CARTWRIGHT: You were asked about markings on a few documents, I have the manual here, marking national classified security information. And I don't think you were given a full chance to talk about those three documents with the little c's on them. Were they properly documented? Were they properly marked according to the manual?

JAMES COMEY: No.

MATT CARTWRIGHT: According to the manual, and I ask unanimous consent to enter this into the record, Mr. Chairman.

CHAIRMAN: Without objection so ordered. CARTWRIGHT: According to the manual, if you're going to classify something, there has to be a header on the document? Right?

COMEY: Correct.

CARTWRIGHT: Was there a header on the three documents that we've discussed today that had the little c in the text someplace?

COMEY: No. There were three e-mails, the c was in the body, in the text, but there was no header on the email or in the text.

CARTWRIGHT: SO if Secretary Clinton really were an expert about what's classified and what's not classified and we're following the manual, the absence of a header would tell her immediately that those three documents were not classified. Am I correct in that?

COMEY: That would be a reasonable inference.

Comey's admission exonerated Hillary not only from any "carelessness" or "negligence," but also from the charge of lying about "not sending or receiving any classified emails." It would have been entirely "reasonable" for her to conclude that the emails not appropriately marked were not classified exactly as she had been saying for months.

If you were watching the hearing it was a revelatory moment. But how many viewers caught the exchange? Audiences at my talks, when I ran video clips of Cummings's and Cartwright's questioning, were shocked and amazed. "

you're not really this stupid ^^^^ right?

She was the Secretary of STate, I think she should know if something is classified or not without some big rubber CLASSIFIED stamp in the header.

And you would have to first believe that anything classified in any correspondence automatically gets a stamp on it somewhere, wouldn't that be derelict?
And besides all of that the larger elephant in the room is why would you think that the Secretary of State would never receive or send classified emails... EVER. That's just not possible.

And if she EVER sent or received even one, how did she send or receive it when the only email she had set up was through her basement dwelling unsecured server.
Are you following along or is this all too confusing for you?
ya goof

she had absolute authority to classify at will, and she signed off in her training that she recognized classified info -marked or unmarked.
Comey did NOT clear on on this -only her intent under Espionage Act "gross negligence " statute

So does this mean Kushner's "defense" yesterday that his simple overlooking and incompetence in small matters is bogus because an individual in his position and authority should have known what he was doing?

Kushner is also known as a person who pays attention to details, all of his excuses seem to contradict what others that work with him have said about him.

No doubt, hard to even imagine a person of his background accidentally didn't read the heading on an Email, it's an excuse, but not a defense, but his lawyers had him prepped enough to get by a Congessional hearing

that would all be relevant if Kushner wasn't a private citizen with no access to anything government.

climb back up into the dumbass tree and stay there until we call you down

not the same thing. I find Kushner's excuse weak -but plausible.
But we are talking civilian Emails. he wasn't a gov't employee back then.

But even more important is Hillary had the authority, and was expected to use her training
( which she signed off on) to classify and recognize classified.

Of course the whole private server thing -since she did not have a .gov account was bound to carry classified data

It would depend how it was headed. Also, iPhone emails are headed by the sender---you have to look below that to see any content.

Do you think it was 'omg, we have dirt on HRC from Russians!' Lol?

It could have been as simple as 'need you at meeting at 9a' or whatever.

thanks for the clarity on the headers!

I forgot to even add the part about him saying he fired the FBI director because of the investigation.

Comey came across as a frightened little girl in almost every aspect of his job. He was scared of the clintons and he was scared of Trump. I think you would say he did an EXCELLENT job investigating hillbag's emails, wouldn't you? Quickly and efficiently coming to the conclusion that she had been a little careless, but nothing to prosecute, right? Yet this stupid russia thing drags on. That asshole needed to go on day 1.

Comey was either compromised by the Clintons or he was on Team Clinton.

As you pointed out, he allowed Hillary to skate on the emails. But in late October when it looked Hillary was going to skate right into the WH Comey 'discovered' more emails and re-opened the investigation.

Because he had to give the future Madame President political cover from outraged Trump voters for having exonerated her in July and allowing her to stay in the race. And sure enough, in what has to be the fastest FBI investigation on record, Comey clears Hillary a second time.

Hillary was on her way to the WH and had her political cover.

Except, Donald Trump pulled the electoral upset and it all blew up. Comey is a weasel.
