Why was Alex Jones denied his right to a jury trial??

The constitution makes no such exception, you liar. The idea is absurd. Then as now, nearly all civil suits are filed in a state.

Perhaps you should try reading the Constitution some time. If we follow your logic then states are all subject to every restriction the Federal government is subject to so states would have nothing reserved for them as the 10th amendment says.

I think the bigger question is, "why did Jones exploit a tragedy and lie to make life so miserable for so many?"

Why did Limbaugh lie so much? Why does Hannity and Carlson lie so much? Why does Breitbart, Newsmax and WND lie so much?

To stir up shit and obtain $$ from their brainless followers.

Europe persecutes holocaust deniers and america persecutes Sandy Hook deniers. This is totalitarian. People have a right to question what the govt tells them

The right to a jury trial in a civil case is qualified. The right to any trial on liability, as compared to damages, is subject to the defendant's compliance with normal court orders. Jones refused to comply with an order requiring disclosure of certain documents. He refused after being warned that his continued refusal would necessarily result in a finding for the Plaintiff on liability, leaving only damages for the jury to decide. Jones
refused anyway, and here we are. He was denied none of his Constitutional or other statutory protections. Would be nice if our Right wingers occasionally knew what they were talking about.

Where in the Constitution does it differentiate between a civil and criminal trial?

Read it and you might find out. Anyway, Jones wasn’t denied a jury trial. He forfeited a trial, court or jury, when he refused to comply with a mandatory court order on discovery. He was warned that continued non compliance would result in that forfeit but he continued not to comply anyway. The forfeit only applied to liability. The jury still heard the case on damages.
