Why Trump will win in 2020

Trump has to get through an investigation first. That is why he is acting so crazy now. He knows losing the House can risk Jared, daffy Jr and Trump himself being caught in criminal behavior. Trump has had no respect for the law his whole life and now it will bite him in the ass. If Trump is running, it will be from the law. He threatened the house if they investigate him, he will use his senate to investigate them. Not very presidential and very telling. He is scared. There is a reason and we al know what it is. Bannon said trumps biggest problem is money laundering and now it will come out.

This was written back in February, I see nothing that's happened since that's changed the political landscape.

Recent election invalidated half of the author's premise, Republican setbacks in the northern rust belt States could signify Trump's appeal in those States has faded, keep in mind he only won by seventy thousand votes split among three of those States. Also, several of the ruby red States as Texas may be turning purple due to increased urbanization

He is correct that the Democrat candidate will be the key, however, it is not a question of how good they are, but rather, are they as disliked as Hillary, or can be demonized as such, remember outside of Trump's base, the majority that voted for him were casting the "anybody but Hillary" vote.

Trump will run in 2020, and I give them better than a 50% chance of winning. Sad.

We now have a system that is biased towards enabling the rule of the minority.

That is why I think the popular-vote losing Trump has a respectable chance in 2020.

The Republican party is routinely losing the national popular vote, and knowing they cannot sell their ideas to a majority of voters, have intentionally used their power in the government to engineer a system that allows the minority to maintain a stranglehold on the government through gerrymandering, voter suppression, caging, and dilution of the Voting Rights Act.

Perpetual rule by the minority, by the popular vote losers, is certainly not what the founders had in mind, and should be an anathema to a modern western democracy.

Don't put a lot of faith in the investigations, if they did reveal something, Trump will push it all into the legal arena and litigate it all the way to his Supreme Court will Brett will take care of business for him. In the meantime, he'll play the martyr role to the max, which will be reinforced and echoed by the right wing media, especially State TV

That popular vote is catching up, using the popular vote of the recent election as a guide, he loses easily all those rust belt states that he won in 2016. Under that scenario the Democrats wouldn't even need Florida nor Ohio

At the same time, several of those traditional red states are gradually turning purple

Trump has been caught being involved in a plot, using a news company, to hide some of his affairs and pay off the women for silence. It is a campaign finance violation. Trump has been shown to be heavily involved in the plot. This is the beginning. Trump disdain for the law will bite him in the ass. He will not run in 2020. He will be in court . He has Mueller to face and the House to deal with. That is why Daffy is so terrified. It is the beginning of the end and he knows it.

Trump winning in 2020 depends on Mueller, the Dem outreach and campaigning with great candidates, getting rid of the Pelosi and Shumer and Clinton leadership, and the Orange Doofus will probably be the favorite until election day.

If the Republicans, oops, I forgot... we need to use their new name.... if the Nationalists continue to follow Trump he will win.

They got a majority of the EV in 2016.

The true Americans must make sure they turn out the vote to get the EV in 2020 and thereafter.

This time around I think there should be no elections at all. No President for 4 years, no Congress. Just let the American people see what they can do on their own for 4 years. Who is up to it??

it will be a minority woman i.e. kamala harris.
perfect for the Dems.
Her disgraceful role at the Judiciary hearings won't matter to Dems -she's got the identity politics going for her.
And that's all Dems really care about.

And what do Republicans care about? Look at the clown show you elected President. Are you really trying to pretend you have standards of any kind?

You mean asking a Supreme Court nominee a couple of questions intended to clarify questions regarding his character is "disgraceful?"
