In the post you are replying to, I didn't say that the founders were smart or dumb re the electoral college.

I said that in 2012 Trump was very ANTI EC - "the electoral college is a disaster for a democracy!" - whereas in 2016 he was very PRO EC - a line that his little helpers have been parroting ever since.
