agree, that is historiclly correct.
One reson the majority black cities are islands of poverty surrounded by rich/ well off non blacks.

I don't particurally see this as an improvement - it's basically ghettoization

Actually you are the first person to wish that upon me. Even with people I disagree with politically I tend to get along with and no one has said I hope you get raped.

I lived in San Francisco for 20 years. How long have you lived in the City? I grew up a 49ers fan in Oakland with kids wanting to fight me over it. Would have been far easier to say I was a Raiders fan and be done with it. Never did. How much sh*t did you go through as a kid with people wanting to kick your *ss for being a Niners fan?

Stand your ground may not be racist to you or in your world, but it is most certainly racist to me and the African-American community .. thus, African-Americans will respond as they see fit.

I see it as a tremendous improvement and dynamic that leaves blacks in the north in a much better position than blacks in the south.

A lot of truth in this. From my experience, Southerners have a problem with groups, but not individuals. Northerners have problems with the individuals, but not the group. Which is more insidious? I don't know.

Southerner: I don't like blacks!
Q: But what about your neighbor Clyde? You play golf with him every weekend.
Southerner: I wasn't talking about him.

Northerner: I love blacks, and racism is just terrible!
Q: That's great. A nice black family just moved in next door.
