I would have greatly prefered my five precious grandchildren of Mixed Race Marriages had been "Officially Designated as Hispanic" rather than the dreaded "White", because they would have many more opportunities in education and jobs!

But, the school's Race-Assessor deemed them to "Look to White" for that!

Go Figure...

Their Hispanic Grandmother, my wife, was PISSED!

Well, I just report the facts... you choose how YOU will interpret them... so, I guess you could say, it is actually Redress who is "Race-Baiting"...


This is something essential that they stress in HR classes on Diversity in Corporate America today.

YOU OWN your reaction to XYZ whatever! Not the person who did XYZ.

If XYZ is something the person should not have done, they they are accountable for their actions.

You are still responsible for your REACTIONS to it, even if it was wrong!

Now, in this thread, I have given the FACTS about what is happening in the New Mexico schools, on the subject of Race-Assessors.

I just reported the FACTS. It is happening!

If I had deliberately mis-represented the information about the New Mexico Race Assessors, in order to illicit an emotional response from Redress, or others, I would be forum "Race Baiting".

I gave the facts.

How you react to them, is YOUR responsibility.

I cannot control how you react to the facts.

The standard for being Native American to get all the freebies is 1/8 native.

Yes, and that is true in New Mexico as well.

But they chose to make it a visually selected determination for the specially preferenced status of "Hispanic".

New Mexico is not the ONLY state which employs Race Assessors.

It largely has to do with Federal Education Funding.

There is a kitty of money available based on what percentage of "Designated Minority" Students a school has.

If your school has more Racially Special Preferred students than the others, the school gets more Federal Money than the other schools.

So, the Schools were bickering over who had the most "Designated Minority" students. The school systems answer to the problem, was to create the job slot of "Race Assessor".

The real issue goes back to, why are we giving schools more or less money based on Freak'n RACE!?
