Why isn't restoring Glass-Steagal even being discussed?

Getting rid of GS didn't cause any collapse, ...its repeal was used to cover the Dems asses for their incompetence as stewards of the economy...

While there are many factors that led to the collapse, the removal of Glass Steagall was most certainly an integral part of the fiasco.
