I dunno what PukeMaster is puking about, but I recall reading when the Monkey Pox thing was first mentioned in popular media, two or three months ago, that it was reported that most of the patients are gay men who have had "close contact" with an infected person. Although it has similarities with small pox, it is transmitted mostly through skin-to-skin contact, rather than through respiratory droplets.

Except you are wrong. Monkeypox definitely can be transmitted from monkeys, and its main reservoir is almost certainly monkeys. Whether it is often transmitted from monkeys is an unanswered question.
