Why is Indonesia prone to plane crashes?

Indonesia's aviation record is one of the worst in Asia, with more civilian airliner passenger accidents since 1945 than any other country in the region. Past accidents have been attributed to poor pilot training, mechanical failures, air traffic control issues and poor aircraft maintenance.

According to data from the Aviation Safety Network, Indonesia has had 104 civilian airliner accidents with over 1,300 related fatalities since 1945, ranking it as the most dangerous place to fly in Asia.

The United States banned Indonesian carriers from operating in the country from 2007 to 2016 because they were "deficient in one or more areas, such as technical expertise, trained personnel, record-keeping or inspection procedures." The European Union had a similar ban from 2007 until 2018.

No moron its not, its because of poor quality substandard maintained planes , poor pilots .
By not following tbo times and proper maintenance schedules on air frames and engines you end up taking risks . Poorly trained pilots and mechanics also contribute to the issue .

Apparently you know nothing about aircraft or commercial flight operations and would prefer to try and make a racial issue out of it as most morons do.
air travel is common there due to all the islands the nation is composed there and they have had a poor record for a very long time.

Well he may or may not be but posting finding that show Indonesia has a low Iq is not raciest when its the truth .
Also the fat that the Indonesia airline industry has a a history of unexplained crashes and poor pilots and a even poorer history of proper maintenance and training is not raciest either.

I will give you a great example of raciest comments if you want and many are from democrats.

Politics have nothing to do with being incarcerated.

Besides, what does low IQ have to do with being pilots? You need to have high IQ for that. Also you said it's due to poor maintenance. That has nothing to do with IQ either.
 
Simple, the same reason other countries have poor aviation records on safety.

1. They don't rate safety particularly high on their list, maybe tenth or fifteenth, but not in the top five.
2. The bureaucrats and officials responsible are variously, incompetent, on the take, indifferent, and or lazy.
3. There's little accountability.
4. Indonesia needs lots of internal flights due to the nature of the country so there are lots of small airlines that can only operate at a profit if they cut corners.
