The presidential candidates have been releasing their taxes for about half a century, The reason is to determine if they have investments in other countries that may sway them to make decisions based on their finances and not what is best for America. There has never been a candidate who had more red flags in finances than Trump. Trump said repeatedly that he would show his taxes if they were not under audit. he lied about that.
Trump has been involved in tax releases with other presidential candidates and lied about his. He thought everyone else should open He pressured Romney to show his taxes when he was running.
Ways and Means just kept Trump's promises for him.
Hillary released about 30 years of taxes. That should have totally silenced rightys who bitched about her finance. Biden released his. There was just one guy missing. And now there are none.
And the "one guy missing" told the country he would release his returns except for the fact they were being audited, which they weren't. Now Congress has only done what the guy said he wanted to do but couldn't.
Congress only did him the favor of fulfilling his wish.
