"lots of other Democrats" are not the former president. Many endorsed him for the nomination--a former president does not usually get involved in primary fights.

The fact that lots already endorsed him makes my point. That news is gone and forgotten and lost in media attention to the virus. If Obama endorses Biden it needs to be at a time when it makes an impact (and a slow news day).

You, Hillary and everyone else should have known how Presidents are elected. If you didn't then you deserved to lose.
 
Obama's endorsement will get massive media coverage. Obama is saving it for after the convention, closer to the general election.

They are waiting for the moment it will make the biggest impact. Everyone knows that Obama will endorse Biden, but they both want the most bang out of the moment possible. It will certainly happen at the convention, but may happen before the convention too.

What is not going to happen is past Republican nominees will not be endorsing trump. he does not want their endorsements, and they do not want to endorse him.
