I maintain that the Kremlin does - and always has - want to discredit American democracy. With supplmental objectives of splitting us off from our traditional allies, and reducing hegemonic American influence in the world. Trump helps them achieve all those goals.
Russians are a proud people with long memories. They most certainly remember Kennedy, Reagan, et al. lecturing them about the superiority of western liberal Democracy, about American elections, and the political institutions of America. Having a dim witted TV game show host, lose the popular vote, but still be installed as president against the will of the plurality of voters really discredits American democracy and legitimacy in the eyes of the world. And that is a dream come true for the Kremlin. American lectures about democracy and free and fair elections really doesn't look very legitimate in the wake of Trump

Each states votes went to the winner of the STATE's popular vote (Nebraska and Maine subsequently changed their systems to a by district vote). But morons like Cypress want mob rule. They want highly populated areas to control the entire country.
