Why does it cost $740 Billion (Dems IRA) to cap Insulin prices at $35 per month?

Spin, youngster...or old timer.

You have been given two links to prove that Slow Joe cancelled President Trump's low cost insulin plan.

There is only 1 with any information and I already highlighted the reasons why. Now why did republicans, 7 senators in total, vote against a $35.00 insulin plan

Do you have a problem comprehending the links given to you to post?

In the Federal Register notice rescinding the rule, HHS noted that the rule would have resulted in “excessive administrative costs and burdens” on health centers. Specifically, the agency took issue with the requirement that health centers would need to create and maintain new practices to determine patients’ eligibility to receive drugs at or below the discounted price paid by the health center, plus a minimal fee. HHS also noted its belief that the implementation of the Rule would have resulted in “reduced resources available to support critical services to health center patients – including those who use insulin and injectable epinephrine.

HHS further acknowledged concerns expressed “by the vast majority of commenters” that the “low income” definition of 350% of the federal poverty level would have “created significant administrative challenges for health centers” and that those challenges would have resulted in a diversion of resources from patient care in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic

do I hear a voice from that trampled mud beneath our feet?.......a voice struggling to find a weak justification for yet another Biden fuck up?......

I already posted the reason why, if you cant read, its not my fault. Then we have 7 Republican Senators specifically voting against the lower drug price.

You know better.

It was cancelled because Slow Joe promised to cancel all of President Trump's EO's...and he did.

They aren't against it. They oppose spending $740 billion to do so.

Why did Plugs stop Pres. Trump's E.O. to lower insulin costs? :dunno:

"Yes, Biden stopped a Trump order to lower insulin costs, but it would not have helped most diabetics

A claim that Biden stopped a Trump executive order to lower insulin costs is true, but that order would have only helped low-income patients at select clinics."

It would have only helped low income patients ... therefore it's bad, according to dems. :palm:

Indeed!

Some Food for Thought About the New Inflation Reduction Act

Tucker: IRA legislation, SF Couple with $120K income gets $12K, Ohio couple gets $81
Some food for thought about the new Inflation Reduction Act:

ht tps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADxn7wWe9h0

Timemark 11:00

So, a medium income ($120k) couple in San Francisco gets $12,000, while a medium income couple in Ohio, gets just $81.

But only if you can spend thousands of dollars on new Environmental appliances and home upgrades, such as a heat pump clothes dryer (which don't work!)

And then there is the EV money. The buyers gets $7,500 from the Government for an EV, and the makers of the EVs, citing the benefit, just raised the price of their EVs by $6K to $8.5K.

So, tax money is taken from you, and then given back, if you buy an EV, which is charged from you by the car company. IAW, it is taking money from you, and giving it to the electric car company.

Time Mark 12:22

To the tune of 20 Billion in new taxes on the middle class. And since the middle class is struggling just to put food on the table, they can't afford any of the new Enviro-Toys, so the benifits actually just go from the middle class paying taxes, to the riche buying the Enviro-Toys.

So, the Inflation Reduction Act, is actually a means of taking billions more from the middle class, and handing it to the Wealthy Elites!

Elites who will then snidely condemn you for not upgrading to "Save the Environment", like they just did.

And these new Enviro-Toys, like the EVs, are likely to prove to not help the environment at all, but rather create a huge new amount resource consumption and lithium battery toxic wastes.

Take the tax credits for conversion to an Electric Stove, instead of a Natural Gas stove... to save the environment. Example person's current Gas Stove is working fine, and could continue to work for another 10-20 years.

The yearly consumption of natural gas fuel, to operate the stove, in terms of Joules of Energy, is less than 1/20th of the energy required to manufacture the new electric stove. And the Electric Stove still needs electric power to operate.

So, Upgrade to "Save the Planet", consumes a bunch of raw materials (Metals, Paint, Plastic), and increases the overall energy used by 12X+, compared to just continue to use the current gas stove, until the end of its life-span.

IAW, the Electric Stove has a huge negative impact on the Environment/Energy-Use as well as a whopper of needless material resource consumption.

And the new stove upgrade for the upper middle class home, is paid for by taxes on the middle and lower class households. People who might need a new stove, but get nothing.

Are you surprised?

.

Its very strange that Canada and the US use the same drugs, from the same Pharma companies, yet we have to go to the Canadiens to get a cheaper price, one not available to us.

I get one drug from Canada that costs 1/3 of the same product here. Why oh why can that be?
