The Democrats control Congress. They can investigate every day if they want to.

You cannot see the big picture if you think a new President is going to come in and waste their time trying to prosecute the old administration.

I will tell you my opinion of why McCain surged to the top. Mike Huckabee. Huckabee surged to the front in very conservative areas of the country exposing Guliani and Romney as not being acceptable for most of these folks. Huckabee was too far right on several of these issues though and the people were left with McCain. Of course this is just my opinion.

Reality and conspiracies and behind the scene shenanigans don't always mix leaningright. You described exactly what happened. In essence it was a wide open race because there were no favorites (outside of Guiliani who had the highest poll numbers prior to any primaries). Romney couldn't portray himself as conservative as Huckabee and McCain was able to get by as a result.

I don't follow what Congress does on a daily basis no. If they are investigating them then fine. If they broke the law I hope the people who did so get punished.

But you still cannot see the big picture. While on the campaign trail why have Hillary or Obama not once said 'when I get into office the first thing I'm going to do is investigate the Bush administration?'
 
The investigations are taking place so they dont need to.

Will they continue to investigate if Republicans take control?
 
Well heres a clue. The Rebuplicans did a historically low amount of investigating while they had control.

That is why they all had to start when the dems took back control.

Not fully true, remember all the clowntoon investigations ? Which is why I think the clowntoon years were good for us. The republicans were too distracted with trying to get clinton to screw us much.

Clearly you have little understanding of pre-20th century politics-- the Bush administration is not even close to the most corrupt ever.

Since the Republicans don't control Congress, I would imagine so.

The thing is, Obama or Hillary wouldn't go after the Bush administration-- for the same reason that kings would try to avoid killing other royalty.

Once you set a precedent of treating your position the same as any other (i.e. subject to the same laws as the rest of us), that can be applied to your administration just as easily.
