Why does Brittney Griner think she doesnt have to observe other countries laws?

Paul Whelan, an American citizen and former US marine has been imprisoned in Russia for three years on what many people think are trumped up espionage charges.

Why did Trump fly off to his resort in Florida in Jan 2021 without ever having freed an American that was imprisoned on his watch?

More importantly, why do you want to see a black American suffer the worst the Russian penal system can through at them,

but you wail for the freedom of a white American languishing behind Russian bars?

That really deserves an explanation.

That's just kettle logic in an attempt to create a false dilemma, as part of a red herring. That is, your rebuttal has zero to do with what I stated (that nobody gives a fuck about this woman and her issues with the Russian authorities). I need no proof of anything to know that she was in a country were Blacks are all but nonexistent, and would have stood out like a sore thumb to those authorities. That likely got their attention and as a consequence, she got more attention in terms of being searched and questioned by those authorities.

There are lots of countries where the laws, authorities, etc., are corrupt or quite different from what they are in the US. So? If you are going to a foreign nation, be knowledgeable of their laws. For example, in the UK you have no protections like the 5th amendment or getting a Miranda warning from authorities. There, the law is you answer all their questions truthfully or you get an additional charge for not doing so. That isn't corruption, that's how their laws work.
Guilty until proven innocent is common around the world in criminal matters too. So? That's how the Russian system works, and it isn't uncommon either. Don't apply American values to other countries when you are visiting them. Know how the locals expect you to behave.

I made no claims of Trump or Biden having magical powers to get American detainees released, therefore I have nothing to explain or answer to.

But you literally cheered for a black American to suffer the worst the Russian penal system can throw at her, while demanding a white American deserves to be rescued.

What's your explanation for the two distinctly different attitudes?
