Why Does A Northeastern Yankee like Myself Hold Such A Strong Bond With The South?

And besides, I'm not really a poetry person. But if I were, I'd probably post from A Coney Island of the Mind by Lawrence Ferlinghetti, which collection of poems includes one of my personal favorites (to the extent a person who is not really a poetry person can have a favorite), "The World Is a Beautiful Place." I reproduce it below while noting that this reproduction doesn't really do the poem justice because they way it appears on the written page in the original text is difficult to reproduce in this format and is, indeed, an essential quality of the poem.

Actually, I've decided against posting it since I think the original appearance on the page is an essential feature of the poem.

Wait a sec, I found an image of the poem as it appears in the original text so here it is:

I'm a Shakespeare guy. I was watching Jeopardy the other night and knew 4/5 answers (Tempest, Shrew, Caesar, something I forget) only because I have yet to read King Lear. Now, give me any other poet, and my success rate would diminish considerably.

Trout Fishing in America is prose, you ignorant wretch.

You came on this thread and attempted to hijack it and close it with your stupid off topic ramblings after I told you to knock it off.

You didn't like what I was saying fascist and everybody who gave you a thank you every time you pulled your little act is no better than you are.

Nice Pwnage :good4u:

And that goes for you too, PCTD ass hole.

If he wants to talk about fishing, he can start his own thread about it without trying to censor me and just because the pair of you are manner less pol operatives with the same like minds doesn't hide his fascism or yours either.

Exactly as such, since you've expressed gaiety in your bigotry about The South. I'm sorry you're so sore about that now.
