Why do Lliberals defend Islam?

People on the left have castigated Muslim terrorists plenty. Maybe you haven't been paying attention. But there's absolutely no reason to castigate every member of the religion because of the relatively small group of terrorists who've perverted the beliefs to push their agenda.

Oh I'm sorry, you wanted a serious deep answer to a stupid question? Normally when somebody asks something like that it's called inflationary and intended to irritate. I figure I cut right to the point.

Conservatives like to go after Islam, at least your hardcore radical members who should have been aborted at birth, you know the ones who wave flags in your face, accuse you of forgetting 9/11 when they want to invade yet another unconnected islamic country and who think that god is going to smite america with lightning because a couple of gay guys went to a court house and kissed. These are the ones who to talk about the barbarism of islam, when they go home and beat their wife into unconsciousness when they get drunk, they talk about how Islam has no culture and how it was created by a pedophile, even as the news turns to the newest molesting Catholic priest.

When liberals hear this, its pretty much natural to jump to the other side of the debate and to continue defending Islam as a real religion that has practices and rights the same as any other. Conservatives can point to car bombings in Israel and attacks on US soldiers in the ME, but are almost unable to see that those are far more political than religious.

As an interesting exercise for you, there's a new movie coming out, red dawn, a remake of an old one. The premise being that China invades the US and a bunch of kids get their hands on some serious weapons and stage a guerilla war. Now here's the exercise part, if you see it, or even go watch the trailer, put all the chinese soldiers in American uniforms and all the kids as arabs. Then call it Operation Iraqi Freedom and see if the name doesn't stick.

It's just that there are so many more interesting Christian targets, and I only am prepared to do so much castigation in one day. Currently I'm castigating all the gun store owners who sell to people who shoot up temples and theatres. Much more likely to die in that than an attack from Islam. When was the last one again?

By the way, "spreading your filth really" sounds like we're just dropping images of crap on your thread, it's a nice idea I'll grant but I'm not willing to go looking for images of feces.
