I'm sure I'll get hate for saying this, but they know it's true... One thing the Left and Islamic Jihadists have in common is that they both hate America and they both love controlling other people and feeling like they have dominion over others... They differ on WHY they hate America, but they're soul-sisters when it comes to hating America and blaming it for the world's problems (or their own).
The Left hates America because it allows capitalism, personal freedom, and Constitutional limits on the powers of government. It doesn't leave them much room to express their pathological godship. But it's also why they tend to go into professions of mass influence, such as: journalism, liberal arts, theater, education, mass communication, legal studies, politics, and basically any profession where they can have influence over a large audience of people at one time.
Islamic Jihadists hate America because to them it represents a large non-Muslim/infidel nation that is closely allied with Israel. They recognize that America stemmed from Judaeo-Christian values, often referring to it as a "Christian nation" even though it technically has no established religion. They recognize the great wealth and power that America has accumulated since its founding, and that it would not be easily controllable without corrupting it from within. They can see that their easiest way to corrupt America from within is to use the Left to do its bidding for them and to try and shame others into silence and passivity, which the Left is more than happy to help them achieve...
