I hated that Bill went after big campaign contributors. I saw it as dangerous. I preferred that the people donate and the people have sway. Bill made us more like the Repubs. I did not back his sexual dalliances. He seemed to be Republican lite. What the ACA accomplished. Over 2 million people had access to healthcare who did not before it. It established clinics in poor neighborhoods that charged people on ability to pay. It allowed kids to stay on parents' policies until age 26. It got rid of the pre-existing conditions excuse that insurance companies used to deny care. It gives seniors a free yearly physical. It forced the insurance companies to pay a percentage of income for healthcare. It did more, none of which you saw on Fox Gnus.

Let me put it this way, if leftists were in charge, they would require casinos to accept bets after the dice have been rolled, after the ball had dropped at the roulette table, after the cards have been revealed, etc. In other words, eliminating the preexisting conditions clause converts the risk transfer to direct liability transfer.

The price increases are due to insurance companies that do not even have a product. They take billions out of the system and meter people's healthcare. They stand between you and medical care. The more they keep you from getting, the more money they make. They do not provide care. They also force doctors and hospitals to have huge staffs that have to manage overly complicated healthcare paperwork.
I kept my doctor on Obamacare. Lots of people did. Why is that a problem? Do you know who is a better doctor?
We are the only industrialized state without universal healthcare. We are wrong . The incredible lobbying power of health insurance companies is why we have not changed. They are corporations that seek to maximize profits. In last year's 3rd quarter, they spent 13.1 million on lobbying.
