Why do atheists care about religion?

Yeah, because totalitarianism in the U.S.S.R. came all wrapped up in Jesus. You can tell that by the way they used to watch the churches and make people disappear, they really just wanted everybody to believe they were taken bodily into heaven!

Clearly only Jesus brings fascism.

He never said ALL fascism comes through religion. Don't be disingenuous.

World Sabbatean theocracy will be the flavor of the new global fascism.

All the organized religions will be officially folded into one world religion, Sabbateanism.

Sabbateanism stresses allowing god to live inside oneself, and to allow oneself to become a tool for god's will.

This is a simple instruction to not fight the mind control waves being beamed into our brains, and to obey them.

I'm just pointing out that it could come here in an additional form and that Sinclair was being a religious hating idiot. Disingenuous is suggesting that the only thing we have to watch out for is Jesus.

Any thinking person would loathe organized religion.

what a pack of insane anti-social lies they are. Racism, genocide, delusions of grandeur, senseless assertions. We don't need all that just to have a moral code.

And? That means, like AlGore thinks it's okay to say that man creates all global warming, you can just pretend it is okay to suggest that it is the only possible way that fascism will come here? You're better than this.

Nothing is okay to suggest, I agree.

Interesting video. I liked it, though some of it is the same stuff that gets bantered about. One of the things I get tired of hearing is that our founders were not religious at best or anti-religious at worst. Yes, a few of them might have been and you might even be able to point a few of them out (I'll give you Paine but not Jefferson) but for someone to read what our founders wrote and to see the laws they put forth and to come up with the idea that they were not (or anti) religious is crazy.

All that being said, I don't want a theocracy. Nor do I want to live in a country that is governed by people who have no sense of right and wrong or morality or immorality. I like the fact that some of them are willing to stand up and say that morality isn't subjective...I don't believe it is either. But I don't want all of them coming down on "my side." We need balance and common sense. I like the bantering back and forth between believers and non-believers, religious and non-religious...It maintains a better balance in this country on a political pendulum that I don't want to see swing too far to the left....or the right as far as goverance from a "moral" perspective is concerned.

Jefferson was clearly spiritual and belived in a God, he grew up in a religen and was a member of churches, but from my understanding by the time he was 40 he ultimatly was not religous, in the sense of being a member of an originized religen.

Yeah, I know thats what you think and what some polls say.

But other polls say 90% of the people in this country believe in God. So the you have to be selective in your reading to go along with your ideas.

My church has medical doctors, surgeons, lawyers, university professors, and scientists. I would be willing to match many of their intellects against yours.

Believing in God is not the same thing as being religous.

No, but since I was responding to Top's post of "The higher the education the less belief in the cartoons that are religion", my comments still stand.
