I think that " have to " is a fair comment. Those elements of the US public that are effectively conditioned to support Israel ' have to ' support Israel because they cannot break their conditioning. The conditioning is reinforced through media broadcasts of what happens to people who do not care about Israel- deportations, imprisonment, character assassinations, sanctions, etc., etc. Their compulsion to care for Israel is a ' happy ' compulsion as they are rewarded with a sense of ' togetherness ' with others, as one example. This is evident on JPP.
So ' having to ' care for Israel is not necessarilly an ' unhappy ' compulsion- although some people ' have to ' appear to care for Israel and that must be unpleasant. Many politicians belong to this group, some actually owing their careers and livlihood to their ability to publicly act out devotion to Israel. You might take the example of the Goblin of Gaza, Netanyahu, receiving twenty-nine standing ovations from a joint meeting of Congress and the overwhelming number of Israel-devotees in government ( Illustration below ) These effigies of USA-loving people ' have to ' care for Israel for the sake of their jobs, otherwise the media that maintains the conditioning of the ' happy ' Israel-lovers will turn those voters against them. It's also generally accepted, it appears, that these effigies are on the AIPAC payroll or being blackmailed to be Israeli Jew-lovers when they really couldn't give a damn about the home-grown variety.
I could write pages on the subject- but I'm not going to.
