So does anyone believe Ryan just woke up to the fact that Trump is a pig?

Not an insensible question.

Ryan is a principled man, and a loyal public servant. Ryan is also so widely respected he's the only one congress would accept to replace Speaker Boehner.
Based on towering character alone, I would not assume any nefarious motive here.

Ockham's Razor: I suspect Ryan tried to support his party's nominee, out of loyalty if for no other reason; hung in as Trump refined his own game *; but simply couldn't abide the pu$$y gaff.

Ryan's a good man. He'd make a good president. Trump is a good businessman. He'd make a horrendous president.

Have a nice day.

* Trump has gotten better. He's a more appealing candidate today than he was over a year ago when he announced.

I think he knew all along and was just waiting for something like this to occur. What cons are being willfully ignorant about is that Trump is his own worst enemy and because he's such a publicity hound, too many of the things he said and did are on tape.

I like the Sam Houston quote of "do right and risk the consequences". I think if more republicans and conservatives would have done the right thing from the start which is not endorse and support Trump after he got the nomination then many of them wouldn't be so embarrassed and having to defend their support of him today. Many of them endorsed Trump not because it was the right thing to do but because it was the politically safe thing to do at the time. If you do right and risk the consequences then at least you won't have to explain yourself and at least your conscience is clear unlike when you do wrong and then are forced to face the consequences.

Look for "The Apprentice" out takes to be leaked!

Look for "The Apprentice" out takes to be leaked!

Trump's taking steps to see that doesn't happen.

Footage from Donald Trump's appearances on the set of his long-running reality TV show "The Apprentice" remained locked away from public view on Saturday, despite allegations by cast and crew that the Republican presidential nominee frequently used lewd and sexist language while shooting the show.

AP had previously asked "The Apprentice" producer, Burnett, to provide the original "The Apprentice" footage for review earlier this year. Those calls were not returned. On Friday, AP contacted NBC, which broadcast "The Apprentice." The network said it could not legally release any footage and referred calls to the producer, Burnett.
