If that's implying social services then again support for Democrats isn't surprising. Not necessarily an apples to apples comparison but blacks tend to be more (socially) conservative in general but clearly not in their voting.

Why do many Jews and Catholics vote with the Democratic Party when it no longer serves their interests? Because they arrive from a European Socialism where the nanny state has been a part of their lives for centuries.

A vast majority of the Catholic constituency are poor Hispanics lacking higher education. So when you have dishonest, anti-Constitution politicians who pander to them with Marxist redistribution schemes, it is no wonder they vote the way they do.
