Because Obama is great about proposing things worth doing, when he gets around to doing them, well...
What role does Congress have?
One would think Congress and big business would be all over this proposition supporting it.

whatever he proposes has to be approved by congress and the repugs and the dims cannot agree on what time it is

Obama is clearly much better at chess than the repubs. This new proposal is genius! He rams this right up the ass of the Romneyites who claim the govt. should get out of the way, and let the private sector do these jobs.
Of course, the govt. is still funding the bulk of it, but let's see how many private enterprises step up and invest here.

he had a democratic senate until ted kennedy died, after that they could not muster the necessary 60 votes to invoke cloture of a filabuster

Im interested in why, when it's a democrat calling the right, "Racist, ignorant, conformist, throwback..." it's acceptable to the left, but when the right returns fire with, "Apologist, socialist, america hating, Etc" it's met with scorn. It goes both ways of course, but do we really need this level of debate? It's like appealing to the lowest common denominator, the pricks at the bottom who love to hate. Why can't people use terms that actually provoke thought instead of shutting it down?
