Why banning hate speech is counterproductve

Limbaugh's not a racist.

I don't know what Limbaugh is, and I don't really care.

He's an entertainer who has found a home talking ignorance to ignorant people. I doubt if he really believes half the shit he says, but he's paid big bucks to appease and soothe people who are racists and who like their outcomes determined by race.

I was asking him what he was calling libel not what the definition of libel is.

It doesn't matter my definition of libel. The legal definition of libel, established by the supreme court to prevent southern states from suppressing northern news sources reporting on race, is that it's only libel if there is actual malice in the reporting the lie.

You don't care, but you have quite an ignorant impression. Good for you.

what instance of libel were you refering to is what I was asking.

geese guys.

It's strictly the content of my message. Noahide brainwash victims are unable to criticize jews, or globalization, or internationalist fascism, any number of Olam Ha Ba related topics. BEING SILENT to gain acceptance of brainwash victims is the wrong approach. But keep up the intellectual cowardice, it should guarantee the status quo.

I would hardly characterize my time here on this forum as "intellectual cowardice" my brother. I doubt if even you believe that. That holds true for my personal and professional life as well.

I'm the self-identified black socialist that is as critical of the left as I am of the right .. and who believes and can support there is no way in hell 19 guys from caves did 9/11.

There are no subjects I can justly be accused of "intellectual cowardice" on, including Israel.

The difference is that I get heard while you get ignored because you pepper your thoughts with too much venom. If your point was simply to vent your frustrations, then you'd have a point. But, if your point was to illuminate, then you don't have a point.

There is a difference between a fighter and someone who is just fighting.

That's an intellectual argument? There's no way something happened?

He's not a racist, and I think he's wrong on a lot of stuff, so Im not really a follower per se.

Can you find a racist statement from rush? give it a try.

"overrated ... what we have here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback can do well—black coaches and black quarterbacks doing well."

He even sees sport through a racists view

Shit .. I thought you were going to ask something hard .. like something that would take me more than .36 seconds to answer.

Any reason why he got his ass thrown off Monday Night Football?

You're not listening. I don't give a rats ass if Limbaugh is a racist of not. He's paid to talk to people who like their outcomes determined by race, sexism, homophobia, and a healthy does of ignorance and aversion to real news.

Beat me to it but well said.

LOL McNabb is overrated. Rush recently had Tony Dungy on his show, and he happens to be an accomplished black coach...

People do get excitied about black achievements. It's also true that the media made a big deal about obama because he was black. Is that racism or truth? It's true. People were excited about that, proclaiming what a monumental achievement it was. Pointing that out isn;t racism either.

That was seriously unintelligent and doesn't demonstrate an 8th grade interpretion of the english language.

Perhaps you can point out where I said, implied, or suggested that nothing happened.

Again it is such a facile answer to label people racist. You hear leaders say Americans need to have "discussions" on race but real discussions sometimes include difficult or more thought provoking questions. In the issue of race many comments not deemed p.c. get tagged racist. I'm non trying to stick up for Limbaugh per se just more of an overall comment.

There is cause to celebrate and even get excited about an African-American becoming POTUS. I recognize that even though I didn't vote for him. He should be a big deal for overcoming the hurdle of race in America, even though I don't agree with how he did it.

And no my brother, it isn't racism to point out the truth of the reality of racism in America.
