I'm a career military veteran. I know lots of other veterans. If you were to ask even those who received say a Silver Star for heroism or a Purple Heart at your local VFW or American Legion post they'd say they were just doing their job. They wouldn't look down on those that sat in an office doing paperwork--somebody had to. They'd see engineers, like me, as unsung equals, for making sure they had the stuff to fight with.

I don't look down on the E-nothing veteran sitting on the stool next to me in one of those places who was a cook. That was his job. I don't expect special consideration for what I did in the service either. I did my job, he did his.

of course that is what they would say. It is what fireman and police say. 'Just doing the job'.

Does not change the fast that you are a disgusting and horrible person that the fireman that rushes into the burning building to try and save a family who dies, is not a hero to you for his sacrifice and only is if he succeeds or wins.

THat is an absolutely gross way to judge the act heroic or not, based on the result and not the willingness to sacrifice.

Some who were with him stated it did. Others stated it didn't. Given tRump's history of disparaging remarks towards the military in general and people who inconvenience him specifically I think it's plausible, don't you?
