Yes, Trump messed up by saying ‘disinfectant’ instead of using technical language to describe a long accepted medical procedure.

And this is a big deal, why, exactly?

In regard to "constant lying?" Please don't compare him to Obama. Trump lies every day. His list of lies is in the thousands.

When you guys are truly pressed, the only "lie" you can provide for Obama is "you can keep your health plan." It's actually a testament to how truthful he was that you can only come up w/ one.

I'm sure some other righties will jump in right now w/ lame lists that they google, but on the whole, Obama is seen by the populace as one of our most honest Presidents. That's just a fact. Trump is seen as the opposite.

But this brings us back to that old journalistic chestnut about taking ‘seriously, not literally’. In 2016, Salena Zito pointed out that Trump’s supporters took him seriously, not literally — while his enemies and the media did the opposite. It was a brilliant insight at the time, but perhaps missed the truth by an inch. Trump voters don’t necessarily even take Trump all that seriously — he’s just a brilliant and highly amusing weapon for irritating the elites they despise. The crazier he is, the crazier they go. It works every time.

So while CNN anchors will have spasms of apoplexy at the thought that the poorly educated might start injecting themselves with disinfectant, most Trump fans will just laugh. They know that Trump’s medical insights are not meant to be taken seriously or literally.

They also know that it may just take something mad-sounding to answer this awful virus. Trump does have an uncanny habit of being right, albeit often in a very roundabout way. We shall see. They do say that sunlight is the best disinfectant.

The first of which, admitting that Trump is just a dimwit and did not understand the implications of his statement(s) and action(s) and lacked the impulse control or attention span
or preparedness to properly vet his intended comments before airing them, or second, his remarks are a calculated taunt wholly indifferent to the fact that the collateral damage is that some people
people will die from his recklessness as the OP suggests.

RB, the maker of Lysol, must be incredibly naïve. They issued a statement. I guess they took Trump's bait. What fools they must be.

The liberal 'fake news' media would not publish the Steele dossier before the 2016 election. Steele wanted them to, because what he had learned (or thought he had learned) about Trump worried him.

But the NY Times etc. could not corroborate the dossier, so they refused to publish any of it. Some big-time liars, huh?

The Steele dossier, whether true or false, was the Big One. If the 'fake news media' had splashed it in Sept-Oct 2016, Trump would almost certainly have been sunk. But the NY Times, Washington Post etc. declined to do so because they couldn't corroborate it.

So much for the Big One. Now, if you wish to press the point, please give examples of the 'many lies' you say they propagated.

They really need to lock him in his room until this whole thing is over. Reporters are asking him serious questions in a time where people are scared and he's throwing tantrums and asking if he can eat disinfectant with his glue tonight.
