Why are civil war statues an issue today, but no one cared for 100 years

Seriously people these statues have been there for a hundred years in some cases. Why did they escape the civil rights movement?

Why didn't Obama care?
Why didn't Clinton care?

Because the liberal snowflake left NEED, WANT, HAVE TO HAVE A VICTORY; in anything.

They lost so many times that they're willing to align themselves with any reactionary group, in order to say "See, look what we were able to do".

It's really pathetic.

Why didn't we have civil rights for blacks for 200 years?
Why weren't women allowed to vote for 150 years?
Why was the Second Amendment interpreted in the context of the militia until recently?
Why couldn't gays get married until the last couple of years?

Times change, idiot. As does public sentiment. Recognition sometimes comes slowly.

How about, why did Martin Luther King not demand these statues be removed?

Answer, because he was busy doing really worthwhile things...........

Well, as long as we're here, it's about the same old smokescreen antics by trump.

Behind the scenes, he does away with voting rights, and Affirmative Action, while everyone is watching his base on t.v waving Nazi flags.
your hyperbole is so over the top Democratic rhetoric -it's impossible to dissect what you are trying to say.

I've wanted them gone forever. Most posters who have been around for a while can attest to the things I have been saying about the south and the CSA for years.
I have never really understood your attitude, those events happened 150 years before you were born and you live thousands of miles away from the South. Yet you seem to take it all so personally, truly baffles me.
