Also, nevermind the fact that gas prices were already rising ever since the beginning of the Autopen's term, a whole YEAR before Russia ever invaded Ukraine. Trump deserved credit for cheap gas prices during his first term (because it was his energy policies that caused it).

Democrat governors (surprisingly enough), building off of the aforementioned energy policies of Trump, deserved credit for the "even-cheaper-yet" gas prices during the end of Trump's first term (because it was their "stay at home" policies (and fear mongering over going out in public anywhere lest you catch covid) that caused gas prices to plummet).
