Globaization stupidity hurts non union workers too. this isnt a union issue. Most americans are not in a union. they still dont want their jobs outsourced.
 
There won't be a next Superpower.
The USA was the last Superpower from the time the Soviet Empire collapsed to the beginning of the new millennium.
And S.Africa in the poll is the most ridiculous choice.

There will be Global Powers and Regional Powers.
Divide the world into 5-10 pieces. Each piece will have its Regional Power.
Some of those Regional Powers will have a bigger population base and economy, those will be the Global Powers.

Obscene wealth is money/resources wasted.

An obvious example would be when civilizations built monuments to kings while the average person scrounged for food. That is obscene wealth.

why do we look back on those cultures with awe? do you think if those culture's leaders would have put all that money into feeding people, that their culture would have survived?

Russia is an Eurasian power, but her metropolitan regions are in the European part.

Russia will concentrate her population into 20 urban areas.

Globalization is necessary to help the poor in the world. How do you propose to lift them out of poverty without jobs?

How many pyramids do we need to know the ancients knew how to build them? Besides, most monuments have been destroyed by wars over time.

But it's not just monuments. My point about obscene wealth is the squandering of resources and human labor.

Surely obscene wealth is that created by exploiting the powerless.
One dollar taken by exploitation is obscene. One dollar to the man who already has one dollar from the man who only had one dollar is obscene wealth.

Globalisation tends to standardise the production of goods to the standards set by the rich and powerful. It serves to starve, not feed, the underpriviledged. I am, and it pains me to say it, with Asshat on this one except that I would not use the term fascist.... yet.

Goddammit, moron, read the post above mine!! It predicted that the future would yield a single superpower for each region of the globe. This cannot be accurate if both Russia and China are to remain superpowers for the forseeable future. Egads!
