Who Will Bang Their Heads If Malaysia And Thailand Build A Border Wall

and they both have something in common. They failed.

Building a wall on the Mexican border does absolutely nothing to address the root cause of the illegal immigration problem and would serve as a monument to fear, bigotry and stupidity.
The Iron Curtain didn't fail, in fact it was extraordinarily effective in stopping people escaping from the East. In the end, it outlived its usefulness and had to go. That was as much to do with people like Gorbachev as anything else. That damn thing ran for over 4000 miles, of course it helped to have over 2 million Warsaw Pact troops behind it.

LOL Oh the way in which people just bullshit themselves.

If history has shown one thing quite clearly and convincingly, that all such walls have failed.

You want to spend your money on something that will fail go ahead but don't ask me to spend my tax dollars on something for which there is a mountain of evidence that it would fail because your a coward and a bigot.

Why don't you try addressing the underlying causes of the problem instead? Or is that too much work or require to much courage and tolerance?

"but don't ask me to spend my tax dollars on something for which there is a mountain of evidence that it would fail . . "

You mean like socialized healthcare and social welfare? I agree.

There's an easy and much CHEAPER solution for stopping illegals sneaking into the U.S. Put armed guards at the border. Currently, illegals sneak in, are sent back, sneak in again, are sent back, and the cycle repeats.

you are being obtuse, or partisan or ignorant.
this is what I said: nothing about "lines on the ground"

If we had decent border controls there wouldn't be a need for a wall.

The Democrats ( of whom you self-titled yourself) actually blocked Kate's law -and it was a stand alone bill-
not part of other immigration packages. It was inexcusable politics for a law that had no downsides.

and really.. go fuck yourself again for the worthless pseudo-psychology you are projecting on me.

Mott has descended to Desh-status with the racist bit.

How do we "address the root cause of immigration", Mott?

How is trying to keep out ILLEGALS stupid, bigoted, and a sign of fear?

hey I like Mott -he's a funny guy -he was here long before me, and is a credit to the board. I was like "WTF did he call me?" when I read this.

Unfortunately that is the Democratic attitude to us deplorables..we gotta be in those baskets.
We can't possibly want improved border controls, and enforced legislation to control borders.

I like Mott too, just pointing out he can do better.

That said, Mott's an example of the impetus behind the deplorable comment. There are people who REALLY think advocating for secure borders is xenophobic and/or bigotry.

The Trump base is predominantly motivated by an anti-establishment animus. Of course, it's much easier to write it off as racism instead of acknowledging the simple fact nearly half the country is fed up with the political status quo.

Besides that, it's red meat to Hillary's deplorables who don't know what racism is lol.

WaPo and Dana Milbanks are desperately clinging to that meme- you gotta be deplorable to support Trump.
Clinton of course is the REAL 'deplorable if we are going to talk personal character traits.

Clinton has so many deplorable traits, she's in a basket all her own.
