Often times I hear the lefties scream that we should go back to the 1950s where the top marginal tax rate was 91% and we had fiscal nirvana. So I decided to go looking at what the tax rates for 1950 actually were. Here you go. Now bear in mind these are inflation adjusted numbers so these are what 1950 tax rates would like in todays income. Notice that those making under $20,000 a year would pay 20%? Now, I will use our good friend Steelplate as an example since he has on so many occasions been so kind as to tell us that he and his lovely bride earn $110,000 a year. Assuming that they file jointly, today they are in the 25% bracket. However if they went to the 1950s tax rates, they would be in the 38% bracket. That is a 52% increase in taxes for Steelplate. So Steelplate my friend, are you still interested in going back to 1950s tax rates? No cherry picking. You can't just pick the top nominal rate. These are the tax rates for EVERY SWINGING DICK in 1950. I think I will start a poll.

Why are righties such douchebags? I think it's from listening and worshiping the fellow douchebags on AM radio....they act just like 'em. Out of every 10 hard right people you MIGHT get one that can be civil.

Another thing is....I think they are 20 somethings who for the first time in their lives are out from under Mommy and Daddy....and rather than appreciate the tons of SHIT that their parents had to eat to put food on the table, a roof over their heads, clothes on their backs and Playstation games to keep their spoiled asses entertained while THEY worked their asses off......they'd rather bitch about the difference of the gross pay vs. Their net pay...because it's just NOT FAIR that they should be expected to contribute to society.....they are the most selfish, narcissistic pricks I've ever seen.

I don't belong to a party. But, me personally? I would love to go back to a time when there wasn't the 16th Amendment and there wasn't a Federal Reserve. But, you like the 1950s tax rates. Go for it. I am all for it. How about you puddin?

Do you live in an alternate reality? Your entire JPP existence revolves around insulting others. If you really cared about your fellow human beings you would charge them below market rents.
