That’s Jake Sullivan talking about giving the Taliban ‘economic aid’ if they allow safe passage for Americans—the rest is fluff. Afghanistan is doomed to be a terrorist haven regardless of what the Taliban has to say about it. But they are terrorists too, anyway, right?

What this amounts to is the Biden administration being boxed in by their own incompetence. They are *forced* into bribing terrorists to save American lives. All because they couldn’t properly execute a withdrawal. And of course, the bribe was coming because it was the only card they could play in order to avert the worst hostage crisis in US history.

Why the emphasis on evacuating Afghans to *here* when you have to fly over half a dozen Middle East allies to get to here? Where are we going to put them? Perhaps to collapse Americas reputation so that no one ever follows us again, so that America can no longer poison and abuse the world. There were many people in the Obama administration who did not hide that this was their goal, and the Biden administration is effectively the Obama administration 2.0.
