Arizona: Weapons Seized in Raid

Two members of a family that the authorities say once tried to set up a whites-only nation were arrested this week on firearms charges after a raid on a 40-acre ranch netted dozens of weapons and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Kirby Kehoe, 65, and his son, Cheyne, 37, had an initial court appearance Tuesday in Flagstaff. The authorities received a tip that Kirby Kehoe had weapons on the property near Ash Fork, about 140 miles north of Phoenix, said Tom Mangan, a special agent with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The Kehoes have previous felony convictions and are banned from possessing firearms. The family has been well-known to law enforcement since the 1990s when the authorities say they provided weapons to white supremacists who committed robberies across the Midwest.

The largest school massacre in American history occurred in Bath Township, Michigan in 1927. On the morning of May 18, Andrew Kehoe, the treasurer of the Bath Consolidated School, battered his wife to death and then set fire to his farm. As fire trucks arrived to put out the flames, an explosion went off in the north wing of the school building. A witness said, “After the first shock I thought for a moment I was blind. When it came the air seemed to be full of children and flying desks and books. Children were tossed high in the air; some were catapulted out of the building.” Kehoe had been planning the slaughter for months, slowly secreting dynamite and pyrotol in the basement. As rescuers rushed to the site, Kehoe drove up in his car, stopped and detonated another bomb hidden in his shrapnel-filled vehicle. In total, he killed 38 children, two teachers and four adults. Kehoe’s motive? He said that the local taxes were too high.

Cheyne Kehoe is convicted of assault and attempted murder in the Ohio shootout, and receives 24 years in prison; Chevie Kehoe pleads guilty and receives 20 years. Chevie Kehoe and Daniel Lee, a member of the Kehoes’ Aryan People’s Republic, are later indicted for the Arkansas murder and a variety of charges based on their plots to attack federal officials; Kehoe will be sentenced to life in prison and Lee will be sentenced to death.

Racist Murderer Linked to McVeigh


Four days after white supremacist Cheyne Kehoe, 21, was convicted in January of the attempted murder of an Ohio police officer, the story broke that his brother may have been associated with Timothy McVeigh and known in advance of the Oklahoma City bombing.

The (Spokane, Wash.) Spokesman-Review quoted an unnamed Spokane area motel manager as saying that Chevie Kehoe, 24, stayed in The Shadows Motel a few months before the attack and introduced him to a man named "Tim" who the manager believes was McVeigh.

The manager said the older Kehoe showed up 45 minutes before the April 19. 1995, bombing and asked to watch CNN. Kehoe allegedly was ecstatic when the bomb went off.

Not quite. In fact that is a false analogy.

These destructive and fanatical people are politically motivated. Gang wars are generally economically motivated or based on controlling a certain turf or revenge action. I have yet to hear a gang banger say for instance that they murdered someone because they wanted an unobstructed franchise or they supported more funding for Head Start! Could you post some stories where their actions were politically motivated or at least they claimed they were?

Whereas, this family of freaks were completely racially and politically motivated to do what they did. And they were vocal in the extreme about saying why they took the action they did!

That is the main difference and the reason that what you are saying while it appears to be substantive is really just a logical fallacy!

Why that's quite the insight bijou! Thank you for your kindness in sharing. However you unfortunately miss what was being discussed. Desh was talking about the base voters of the two major party's. Criminal white separatists are no more the base of the Republican Party than criminal gang bangers are the base of the Democratic Party.

I don't think you get it, but if stop being intentionally obtuse you might! These men are simply a more radicalized version of the Republican base and have the same belief system as the Republican base, especially the Tea Party who you all eschew but still support, criminal gang bangers are generally apolitical and therefore have no connection to any political ideology! That is the difference! And it can't be any plainer than that! The only reason one would even make such a claim about these particular Black people would be if one assumed that all Black people were political and that all were Democrats a set of assumptions that is not only completely false but is also race based which is even more bizarre!
