It was a righteous act. The shooter was behind a wall and refused to surrender. Trying to take him would result in more casualties. I fully supported the DPD tactics.

FWIW, it was the first use of a killer robot by police. The military, of course, had been doing it for years with drones. The explosives used were standard charges the bomb squad had for blowing up suspected bombs using the robot.

There was no promise to deliver food, and in fact, the delusional shooter did not even know the robot was in the area. The reason they did not use a human, was the shooter could have moved to the other side of the wall, and killed a human. The shooter did not move, so did not see the robot who was on the other side of the wall from him.

The robot dropped the bomb on the other side of the wall and hauled ass. The explosion damaged the robot anyway but it was repairable. .

There are three options for why your story disagrees with the official story:
1) You are lying.
2) Your friend is lying to you.
3) Your friend is lying to the official investigation into a homicide, and thus is guilty of a severe felony. I hope it is one or two.
