Agreed.... there is no racism in the original post. The white men make up a larger portion of those fields and thus will likewise have a higher hit when the layoffs come. If they didn't then there would be a question of racism being involved.

I am sick of people tossing the race card around. It is an insult to those who truly are affected by it.

It's amazing how you can't connect the dots here. There are real policies which discriminate against white males in all sectors of our society. There is footage of leaders discussing how to make sure white males don't benefit from federal policy. Now here's the proof that those discriminatory policies are having their intended effect. You're a moron or an asshole if you can't or won't connect the dots here.

I did not state that there aren't policies in place that discriminate against whites. Affirmative Action is a racist policy. That said, the example of the white males being laid off that you presented is not one of them.

The video of Reich's comments DO display elements of racism when he states 'don't give the jobs to unemployed white men' (or something to that effect).

The selectiveness also occurs in deciding who to let go. It's not just at the time of HIRING that these things occur. It's an overall drive to effect the "proper" race/gender mix.

If they were fired based on maintaining quotas, then I would agree with you. But I did not see any indication in that article that occurred in this case. It stated that more white men lost jobs in manufacturing and construction. Statistically speaking that is what should occur given White Men will tend to be more highly represented in those industries to begin with.

And in the video they were specifically talking about making sure funds didn't go to projects employing while male construction workers. They were specifically talking about this. It is racism. And it's working.

I noted that the video was racist. But again, statistically speaking, in the case of the jobs in your article... white men SHOULD have lost the bulk of the jobs. There is no evidence that racism played a part in those job losses. Just screaming racism is not proof that it occurred. It is no better than the idiots shouting racism every time Obama is criticized.

I think a top down directive to specifically make sure that white construction workers don't get any benefit certainly counts as racism, at whatever volume.

Additionally, i don't think the article attempted to list every company or business which let white men go. Construction was just a biggee. HR firms at nearly all companies have top down directives to "diversify".

I actually think mexicans are the number one ethnicity in construction in georgia. Those subs with their illegal workers are still working. The legal whites are let go.

Can't get much higher tech than Oracle Corporation brother. I worked for Oracle for several years, survived nine big layoffs withn the company, didn't survive the tenth. On my database team of eleven DBA's, six of them were from India .. or as you call them "Hb1 slaves." I call them educated and talented people who were trying to survive as I was. Oracle and Larry Ellison took advantage of US policis that allowed them to get talent just as good as American talent for half the price.

That wasn't racism, it wasn't the fucking Illumanati, it wasn't affrimative action, and it wasn't the evils and dangers of Indians or immigrants .. it was business. .. and mon weakling, I didn't cry about it, I grew and did something else. Ellison doesn't owe me shit and I didn't need him to survive.
