Also let's remember that in California, housing costs more; electricity and gas cost more; and even most goods and services cost more than the national average. In many respects California's cost of living is much more like a Western European nation than it is like the rest of the U.S. The widely reported global rankings ignore this reality.

Not sure what the link is going to but yes our state has mismanaged pensions and it's only getting worse. We have return targets that don't get reached and employees don't pay enough.

No, it wasn't about Trump. It was Republicans in Orange County and you said they were slipping because of Trump which just shows you have no clue about the area. Demographics have been changing there for a couple of decades. It didn't start three months ago.
You guys are all over the map in this thread about "Spicer's Hitler comment".
My point is that CA is in a downward trend on many fronts due to regressive liberal policy. Education being one marker. Agriculture being another.
Too many RINO's in CA politics to point at Orange county and go "see".
Doesn't matter who's behind Kids Union. The stats on educational performance are real. Kids Union is merely representative of a group seeking to use those stats to promote choice. They did not create the dismal facts.
